A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw bone to hold a replacement crown, bridge or denture.
They are screw shaped and made of titanium.
We use Straumann implants who are a leading global supplier in dental implantology and oral tissue regeneration.
Implants can be used in a number of different situations and needs, from the loss of one or several teeth to problems with loose dentures.
The implants are supported by the jawbone in much the same way as the natural tooth roots; therefore you can chew, smile and speak as if they were your own teeth.
Stained teeth are a common problem.
Many foods, drinks and habits (such as smoking) can lead to stains building up; the surface texture of your teeth can also exacerbate this problem.
Using an electric toothbrush and whitening toothpastes can reduce the impact of staining and regular cleaning by a dental professional will also help, but even this cannot always remove stubborn stains in difficult to reach areas.
To make a simple but dramatic difference we have the Prophyjet polisher, which sprays a fine jet of water and polishing powder to gently remove difficult stains in awkward areas.
Some people's teeth are naturally darker than others and everyone's teeth gradually darken with age.
Foods, drinks and habits (such as smoking) can increase the effects.
All teeth can be whitened successfully using our tooth whitening techniques.
We use gentle, professional whitening gel which is proven to work and does not damage the underlying tooth.
Teeth whitening is the bleaching process that removes stains from the enamel and dentine of teeth, restoring original whiteness to natural teeth.
White fillings or 'tooth-coloured' fillings are a very flexible and conservative way to restore teeth.
In most cases, a composite material is placed directly by the dentist to give instant results.
We use one of the best composite materials on the market that combines strength and also beautiful aesthetics.
It is built up in layers on the existing tooth, replicating nature by reproducing the darker core and whiter enamel on the surface; stains and white spots can even be added for a perfect match.
