The Chief Dental Officer for England, Sarah Hurley, has confirmed that dental practices do not need to close during the period of lockdown and tighter restrictions. PURLEY DENTAL PRACTICE should REMAIN OPEN to treat patients in line with the standard operating procedure. There has been a dental practice at this location for 60 years. Andrew and Elaine Paice acquired the practice in 1987 and became Purley Dental Practice Ltd in 2007.

Often only when things go wrong do most people start to appreciate this, so we always emphasise oral hygiene as the most important aspect of dentistry!

At Purley Dental Care we advise that dental care should begin at an early age, since plaque will begin to form as soon as a child's first tooth arrives.
Parental brushing is essential for your child's dental health, in addition to strict control of sweets, chocolate and sugary drinks.
It is recommended to bring your child for a dental visit from birth, ideally accompanied by Mum and Dad and any siblings.
Family appointments are to be encouraged, making a young child feel included.
This first appointment should be stress-free and a happy, fun visit - if anyone needs any treatment, we would usually make separate arrangements for this.
