Mayfield Dental
We are happy to announce that we are now able to provide face to face appointments including routine check-ups, hygiene cleans, routine treatments (including wisdom tooth extractions), dental implants, Invisalign and cosmetic procedures. If you need an urgent appointment we aim to give you an emergency assessment appointment within 24 hours.*

Emergency appointments will need to be accommodated around our existing appointments; this is an assessment appointment only (where antibiotics can be provided on site/a prescription for pain relief can be issued). However treatment appointments would need to be booked back in. We will also be creating slots for our patients who are most vulnerable, to help minimize contact with other patients whilst they are at the practice.

Between all appointments, as always we will thoroughly disinfect the surgery, reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful while you are in our dental chair. We thank you for all your patience during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Services
Mayfield Dental was established in 1972 and was taken over by Deepali and her team in 2012.
It is conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood, a stones throw away from Sanderstead station.
The practice has recently undergone refurbishment, giving it a fresh, clean feel.
Our modern state of the art technology, including digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras, help us to provide the very latest in dental care.
Although waiting times are minimal, we offer a calm waiting room with a selection of magazines to enjoy.
We aim to assess the overall health of your mouth, to help you maintain healthy teeth and gums for life.
Regular examinations give us the opportunity to identify and treat potential dental problems before they become painful, complex or costly to treat.
We want you to feel confident in your smile, and will give on-going advice to enable you to achieve your optimum dental health.
Do you have medical conditions, or are taking any medicines, which are likely to impact on your dental health?.
We will carry out a lifestyle assessment to identify any risk factors that may affect your oral health.
Beautiful, clean teeth and healthy gums are key to the way we look and feel about ourselves and how others see us.
Even the best brushing and flossing routines cannot eliminate all traces of bacteria on our teeth and gums (plaque).
Left on your teeth, these bacteria become hard tartar, which cannot be brushed off.
This can lead to bad breath and bleeding gums, which are signs of gum disease.
Bits of food that get caught between the teeth and on the tongue will rot and can sometimes cause an unpleasant smell.
Gum disease is caused by plaque building up on and between teeth, irritating the gums and making them swollen.
If this is not treated, it may lead to destruction of the bone anchoring the teeth in the jaw.
As the disease gets worse the teeth can become loose, and eventually fall out.
Gum disease often progresses painlessly, so you do not notice the damage it is doing.
Your gums may bleed when you are brushing or eating, and your breath may also become unpleasant.
Careful cleaning of the root surfaces to remove tartar and plaque deposits from deep periodontal pockets, under local anaesthetic.
The best protection for children is prevention.
Regular check-ups from a young age will ensure children won't suffer from untreated dental decay with devastating effects to their growing dentition.
When it comes to children's dental care, our dental team offers an unparalleled service no matter what their age.
Consider that each child is impressionable when first visiting us and endeavour to make the experience as positive and educational as possible.
Ensure the parent is thoroughly informed of every step of their child's treatment - no matter how simple.
