In 1964 my then 28 yr old father had all his teeth removed and experienced ill fitting dentures for the rest of his life until he died in 1995 aged 59 years.
I recall his irritation and at times anger, when food was hot and he burnt the back of his throat.
I recall his poor self image, which was at odds with his outwardly confident persona.

Fast forward to 2009 aged 49, when I had some of my teeth removed by the NHS Dentist, after constant mouth ulcers/tooth abscesses.

For patient's that are not registered with us we charge 75, this covers the cost to be seen, x-rays and any antibiotics you may need.
When you have a gap in the mouth there are only 4 options, either dentures, bridges, implants or simply leave the gap.
We all have bacteria in our mouths and a build-up of these bacteria is known as plaque.
Plaque contains bacteria that can damage tissues which support the teeth, causing inflammation of the gum, this is called GINGIVITIS.
When teeth and gums are not brushed on a regular basis the inflamed gums can bleed spontaneously or when brushing.
