Bridge Of Earn Dental Practice
We like to think of ourselves as a small, very friendly team who aim to provide the best dental care for you and your family. Bridge of Earn Dental Practice is a purpose built dental practice with four spacious fully equipped treatment rooms. Each treatment room has lower dose digital x-rays, ceiling mounted televisions and the practice has a fully computerised record system.

The whole building is disabled access friendly- with no steps from the car park to the spacious waiting area and into the treatment rooms. We are located in a prime position just off the M90 with ample onsite parking. We have four dentists, a hygienist and a locum dentist who does our implant surgery at the practice. We have invested time into evolving Bridge of Earn Dental Practice into what it is today- a state of the art practice that prides itself in taking care of our growing number of patients.

We are a mixed practice that offers the full range of NHS treatment services for all the family as well as a range of private treatments including all ceramic crowns, bridges, composite (white) fillings, flexible dentures (Valplast) and 'at home tooth whitening' with Zoom! and Colgate.

Regular dental examinations allow your dentist to check for dental decay, gum problems, failing restorations, tooth wear problems and signs of head and neck cancer.
The interval between examinations is usually six months (one year if you have no natural teeth) this allows us to monitor and identify changes to your oral health.
Your dentist will check if there have been any changes to your medical history- it is important you tell your dentist of any changes to your health or medications or if there is a chance you could be pregnant as this may impact the investigations and treatment options you dentist can provide.
Our dentists provide a prevention-based approach this approach requires regular dental exanimations to watch for early signs of dental disease and provide advice to help keep your mouth healthy.
Use a gentle circular motion - don't scrub horizontally as this will irreversibly damage your gums.
Clean between your teeth daily using floss, tepes or other interdental cleaning tools after brushing, try superfloss for cleaning under bridges.
Angle the toothbrush bristles into the gum line and brush with gentle circular movements (see below).
Root Canal Treatment (endodontic treatment) is a treatment that aims to treat dental infection within the root or the area surrounding the root.
The nerve has become irreversibly inflamed, classic toothache (the nerve cannot recover from this and will subsequently die).
In order to repair your tooth we need to use the root canal to place a post to support your filling, or more commonly a crown.
If you develop or have had toothache it is important you contact your dentist for an examination.
If your dentist diagnoses irreversible inflammation of your nerve or a dental abscess you have two options- removal of the tooth (and therefore the infection) or performing root canal treatment (which removes the source of infection)- antibiotics are not effective for treating infections associated with teeth.
