A massive thank you to Dr Aslani! Today I had six crowns fitted on my top teeth and I am so happy with the results. Dr Aslani is a very skilled, caring and patient lady and I finally feel I can smile confidently again.
Services
Ella Aslani (DDS Stockholm) was trained and qualified at the prestigious Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in Sweden.
She also received specialist training at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in London in non-surgical facial aesthetics procedures.
She believes that regular attendance and good preventative care are essential for oral health.
She is passionate about helping her patients to maintain good oral health through appropriate personal advice with the aim of reducing the need for dental interventions and associated costs in the long term.
It is important to attend your dental check-up on a regular basis as any potential problems could be identified early and appropriate action can be taken.
Tooth decay can, if left untreated, cause the total loss of a tooth within a year.
For this reason it is important that you attend every 6 months.
We will check your teeth for cavities and broken fillings or crowns.
We also check your gums and your general oral hygiene to ensure there are no concerns.
Finally soft tissues are checked for ulcerations or other lesions.
A crown or hollow cap is used to cover the top of a tooth which has become damaged or decayed to a point where it cannot be restored by just filling.
The crown recreates the shape of a broken down tooth allowing it to be useful in chewing.
They also improve the appearance of the tooth.
Crowns are made from various materials with gold and metal alloys offering the most strength.
Gold and metal crowns are mainly used for back teeth which are used most when chewing.
Porcelain or ceramic crowns are not as strong but they can be colour matched to the surrounding teeth which, is excellent for the appearance of the front teeth.
It is estimated that 19 out of 20 people suffer from gum disease at some point in their life, making it the most common, non-infectious disease in the world (National Smile Month).
Gum disease is the main cause for loss of adult teeth.
With more adult teeth being lost through gum disease rather than tooth decay, regular dental hygiene treatment is essential to keeping your gums and teeth healthy.
Regular visits to a hygienist combined with dental check-ups and looking after your teeth and gums at home will greatly improve the appearance of your teeth and your oral health.
You have an important event coming up and you want your smile to be its brightest.
Or maybe you have a wedding engagement.
Whatever the reason, tooth bleaching isn't just for the film stars, and it isn't just for one day.
Many people have had their teeth bleached, and probably millions more are thinking about it.
The desire for a brighter smile with whiter teeth is very strong - tooth bleaching safely lightens the color of the teeth and may last for many years providing you look after them.
The most effective and safest method of tooth bleaching is dentist-supervised.
