Established in 2008, the Sherborne Dental Centre provides both NHS and privately funded dental treatments from a modern purpose built surgery within the grounds of the Yeatman Hospital. Unlike many other practices that are housed in converted buildings, Sherborne Dental Centre is a purpose built, light and airy, fully air-conditioned surgery, built on a single level with excellent access and disabled facilities.
Our team of dedicated dentists are also happy to see dental emergencies and will endeavour to admit them as a priority. Whilst we make every effort to make your visit as pleasurable as possible we do appreciate that for some, a visit to the dentist can be a traumatic experience, if you are of a nervous disposition or require additional reassurance then please do not hesitate to let a member of staff know of your concerns when making your appointment.

A bridge is a specialised dental appliance that is essentially two caps, joined by one or more false teeth that are set on the teeth framing a gap in between your teeth.
Bridges are used when one or two teeth have been lost on one side of the mouth and functionality and appearance has been compromised.
Bridges allow you to eat without damaging existing teeth or gums as might be the case when the gap is left unprotected.
This appliance supports your existing teeth and helps them maintain their proper alignment as well.

Teeth that have been damaged, worn, or suffered major decay can be totally restored to their original beauty and functionality with a crown.
Crowns, known also as 'caps', are ideal not only for enhancing the appearance of a damaged tooth, but for protecting the remaining root and tooth soft tissue as well.
Crowns are made of porcelain or precious metals, or a combination of these materials.
Crowns are also used to cover discoloured fillings and to add strength to a weakened tooth.
