Falling cinema audiences caused the Oxford cinema to close in 1960 and Thomas Motors occupied the entire site.
At this time a petrol station was built on the site now occupied by the dental surgery.
The petrol station continued until the late 1990s when Thomas Motors left the site and it was acquired as an investment venture.
The site was split up and the petrol station bought for redevelopment by Autoglass.

I’ve been here for years since I was a little girl and in my time here I’ve been under the care of three dentists which were Howard Hunter as my first one and then Kevin Harrison and now I’ve got Louise Caldecott and I’ve also got Carrie Dolan as my hygienist and they are all amazing people and very friendly and even the reception staff are lovely too and they are always able to schedule my appointments for me for when I’m not in college

Very helpful, supportive, friendly and caring staff across all disciplines. Thanks to Kevin for his expert technical application to the numerous stages of dental care & repair especially his patience in explaining all details and answering my many questions in a succinct & sympathetic manner. It’s been a long & winding road with the intervention of covid restrictions for all involved who have risen to the challenges with steadfast resolve & professionalism and humoured good nature.
