The practice was founded in 2001 and is owned by Mark and Rebecca Fortune. We are family owned and run, large enough to offer the full range of treatments but small enough to provide personalised care, where you will feel like one of the family. We provide routine dental care for all the family, cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, composite bonding and tooth whitening and advanced dentistry including dental implants.
We provide adult dentistry privately, either via one of our plans or on a fee-per-item basis. We have a small NHS contract which we reserve for children, allowing us to provide children's dentistry without any charge. We provide all of this in a safe and modern environment with disabled access as well as baby changing facilities. Mark sorted my teeth out for me a few years back.
I used to have a fear of dentists. I felt we struck it off from the start, he put me at ease and I ended up looking forward to my visits. He saved my teeth and gave me my smile back. I wouldn't go to anyone else now.

A dental bridge is a method of restoring a space due to missing teeth within the mouth.
A bridge is attached to one or two teeth either side of the space.
There are two main types of bridge.
The first is classed as a conventional bridge.
The tooth or teeth that hold the conventional bridge are "prepared", with some of the tooth being ground away.
The bridge is made to fit over the abutment tooth or teeth and is then cemented into place using a strong adhesive.
As with crown preparation, this preparation does damage the abutment tooth/teeth and so there is a small risk of future complications.

Veneers and crowns can be used to improve the appearance of teeth if they are worn, cracked, discoloured or poorly aligned.
Dental veneers are an artificial porcelain facing, which is cemented to the tooth.
Crowns are an artificial tooth which is cemented over your prepared tooth.
Near instant results are achieved but the process does involve damaging the teeth during preparation.

If a tooth is very heavily restored, has been root treated, or has broken badly it may benefit from a dental crown, instead of a normal filling.
Crowns restore a tooth to normal function and strength, as well as beauty.
A crown is a covering which is cemented over a prepared tooth.
A crown is usually placed to provide strength to a heavily restored tooth, although they may also be placed to improve the appearance of teeth.
Crowns can be made from various materials: they may be made entirely of metal, metal and porcelain or modern ceramic materials.
