Here at the Buxton Dental Practice we pride ourselves on the high level of care we provide to all our patients. Patient satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. We have been a developing practice since 1987 and have established an ever growing patient base.
Our philosophy has always been to provide a superb dental service, focused on very personal patient care, which we feel best enables us to work with our patients towards a shared goal, that our patients have healthy mouths and the attractive smile they desire, for life.Being based in the middle of Buxton, with parking either side of the building, we are very accessible.
We have a ground floor surgery for those unable to use the stairs. I have never been keen on seeing the hygienist in the past as I have had some bad experiences in the past but when I saw Joanne I was pleasantly surprised. She is really gentle and friendly. I don't mind going now!. If you are a Practice Plan Member please call 0808 169 8117 if you are overseas please call (0044) 1691 887955.

In this practice we take complaints very seriously indeed and try to ensure that all patients are pleased with their experience of our service.
When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible.
This procedure is based on these objectives.
Our aim is to react to complaints in the way in which we would want our own complaint about a service to be handled.
We learn from every mistake that we make and we respond to patients' concerns in a caring and sensitive way.

If you have had a tooth extraction please follow the below advice to help to socket heal quickly and to reduce the chance of any post extraction infections.
Do not rinse your mouth at all for the first 24 hours, as this may disturb the blood clot in the socket.
If the socket does bleed, sit upright in a chair and use one of the packs provide or a clean cloth or handkerchief (do not use paper) and bite firmly or squeeze firmly down on the socket.
After 24 hours rinse the socket with warm salty water 2-3 times a day until the socket has healed.
