One Dental Practice is your local Dentist in Inverness, who offer a wide variety of dental treatments in comfortable modern surroundings. We are a family friendly practice, treating children of all ages and adults. Our aim is to provide a personalised, caring experience whilst restoring and maintaining both healthy teeth and gums. We aim to make you comfortable and confident in our care.

We provide treatment from routine fillings to cosmetic procedures and full mouth reconstruction. We offer treatment under NHS, Private and Highland Dental Plan contracts also. We have four dentists, a dental hygienist and a fully qualified and registered team of dental ancillary staff. Each of the dentists at One Dental have an interest in particular dentistry techniques and are highly trained in these skills.

Regular check-ups are essential for the health of your mouth and teeth. We will screen you for early signs of tooth decay or gum disease and also keep a thorough eye for more serious conditions such as oral cancer.
Services
One Dental Practice currently has 4 dentists: Graham Rutherford, Millar Hunter, Rachel Earith and Meaghan Shankland.
We also have a part-time dental hygienist, Elma Beaton, and a fully qualified and registered nursing team.
Graham graduated from Glasgow University in 1982.
He has practiced in Inverness since qualification, establishing One Dental Practice in 1987.
Graham has a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry having attended post-graduate courses in Europe and the USA.
He has also served on several local professional committees and has a strong commitment to the raising and maintenance of professional standards.
We aim to see patients as close to their appointment times as possible, but due to treating emergency patients and some procedures taking longer than expected, we do occasionally run slightly late and we thank you for your understanding.
Charges will usually be made for appointments that are not kept except in exceptional circumstances.
If you do not give adequate notice to cancel an appointment or fail to attend an appointment, other patients are deprived from the care that could have been available to them.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice should you need to cancel an appointment.
If a cancellation is made within the same treatment session as the patient is due this will be deemed as a fail to attend.
To keep our prices to a reasonable level it is necessary for the fixed running costs of the practice to be met.
This requires the dental surgeons and hygienist to be operating in their surgeries to maximum efficiency.
Preventive Treatments are things that you can do to ensure your teeth and gums remain healthy including regular Dental Check-Ups and periodic visits to the Dental Hygienist.
Preventive dental care will will keep your teeth and mouth in the best possible condition which should minimise the requirement for Restorative Dental Treatments.
We recommend that a good preventive treatment routine is established particularly for the young as this will get them into good habits, make the dentist surgery feel more familiar and will ultimately reduce the degree of anxiety they may feel during visits to the dentists.
Private treatment allows us to spend more time with you and offer you every treatment option available, using the most up to date techniques and materials.
This means that you pay at the end of each appointment for the treatment you have received.
Monthly direct debits ensure that you are not hit with a big bill for unexpected treatment.
The direct debit amount is worked out on the health of your mouth at the initial consultation.
Our Full Care Plan provides you with regular check ups and also all preventive and routine restorative treatment.
