Odontica Dental Clinic
It is our aim to promote good oral hygiene and encourage preventive techniques by helping you understand how to maintain the health of your mouth, and keep it free of tooth decay and gum disease. Our practice offers a complete range of treatments and prides ourselves on offering the most avanced advice and care that is currently available in the dental world.

The practice also provides private treatment and patients will be given full information about their treatment options and the costs involved so that they can make an informed decision on choice, before their treatment begins. As well as offering a full range of restorative treatments, we also provide cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening, sedation (over 18 yrs old) and implants on a private basis.

Please ask our receptionist for more details. We are sympathetic to patients who are anxious about receiving dental treatment and provide sedation. We are accepting patients privately and NHS. We will continue to provide care for all patients on a regular basis and send out recalls as determined by NICE Guidelines.
Services
Without your natural teeth you may find that there are many things you miss.
However, modern dentistry has come a long way in recent years and there is no need for you to continue living in discomfort.
With dental implants from us, you can have replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth.
Teeth that are comfortable and stay in place allowing you to speak, smile and eat with confidence.
Losing a crown means losing the visible part of your tooth, however, if you lose the root as well, you have lost the unseen part of your tooth too.
Regular scaling and polishing of teeth plays an important role in keeping your teeth and gums healthy, and giving you a brighter, whiter and fresher smile.
With teeth whitening you can create a bright, radiant smile.
It is more than just a cleaning, scaling and polishing.
Using whitening gel, we are able to target stain molecules below the surface, within the structure of the tooth itself, oxidise them, and remove them completely.
However, the longevity of whitening treatment varies, and depends largely on how well you look after your teeth.
The procedure involves removing inflamed or damaged tissue from inside a tooth and cleaning, filling and sealing the remaining space.
The pulp, or soft inner tissue of your tooth, is normally surrounded and protected by a layer of dentin.
Above the gumline, the dentin is protected by a layer of enamel; below the gumline, the dentin is covered by cementum.
When a deep cavity, decay or crack destroys these protective layers, the pulp is exposed to the bacteria in your mouth.
This can result in inflammation, infection and, eventually, necrosis (pulp death).
Appointments can be made in person, online or by telephone.
Where possible, we will try to arrange one with the dentist of your choice, just speak with the receptionist at the time of booking.
You can also express a preference about the way you like to be treated and we will make every effort to accommodate you (although this may not always be possible).
We make every effort to see patients at the appointment time, however if you are kept waiting, there is usually a good reason, so please be patient.
