We are required to follow a phased opening approach, initially only seeing patients with urgent problems which don't require an aerosol producing procedure (No drilling, water spray etc). If you have an urgent Dental problem including severe pain, swelling, trauma or uncontrollable bleeding please phone us for advice in the first instance. We have started contacting patients who have had dental emergencies during our closure period.
We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our measures in place keep our patients and staff safe. If you have an enquiry, please continue to call the practice. For all patients waiting for examination, outstanding routine treatment and hygienist appointments, we will contact you when we receive further directives to be able to do so by the Scottish Government.
Please check periodically on FaceBook and our website for updates. Thank you very much for your patience and support- we look forward to welcoming you all back very soon! Alloway Place Dental Care was established over 50 years ago and has since been providing quality dental care to the people of Ayr and its surrounding areas.

Dental implants are an artificial tooth root made out of titanium that enables a patient to have the look and feel of natural teeth.
Dental implants are typically made of titanium which is a material that is well accepted by the body; over time the patient's bone fuses/connects to the Titanium.
There are various implant systems available and numerous types of implants in different lengths and diameters.
Dr Michael Tang will be able to determine for certain if there are any concerns for you to have dental implants placed, but generally if you are healthy you can proceed with treatment.
