Handside Dental Surgery is a NHS, Private and Denplan practice specialising in the care of the whole family. We are located on the residential west side of Welwyn Garden City. The practice has ample parking locally. Patients can book their dentist appointments with us either over the phone, by email or by calling in to see us.
In addition to general dentistry we also have specialist consultants who provide cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, emergency dentistry, implants, periodontics and specialist root canal treatment. Handside Lane is a four surgery practice together with hygienist facilities and on site laboratory.
After 3 years Catherine then became a partner and in 2015 became the owner and Principal Dentist.
Catherine specialises in being a family dentist and has celebrated over 25 years at the practice.
She now works full time at the practice where she provides NHS, Denplan and Private dental services with her associates Miss Geneen, Mr Raja and Mr Banerjee and manages the team of in house specialists providing reconstructive, cosmetic, periodontic and endodontic services.

As part of your routine dental examination the first and most important check that your are provided with is an oral screening of your soft tissues.
Regular dental check-ups are therefore important as oral manifestations can be early warning signs of other more critical dental or clinical problems.
The practice incorporates the use of digital x-rays, which are of a much lower dosage of radiation than conventional x-rays.
In addition, the images are instantly available to assist with diagnosis and planning of treatment.
