Examination A stitch in time saves nine.
We recommend that you attend regular routine dental examinations with your dentist to ensure that problems with your oral health can be spotted and dealt with early, thus minimising the need for any invasive or costly treatment.
Your examination is in fact an oral health check where we examine your oral tissues and the head and neck area for any signs of cancer.
We also examine your teeth and gums for signs of gum disease or tooth decay.
X-rays may also be taken of the teeth to check for decay in the hidden parts of the teeth and to assess the health of the bone around the teeth.

Gum Disease Gum disease is either Gingivitis or Periodontitis.
Gingivitis is inflammation of the gum around the tooth but does not involve any loss of the bone or periodontal ligament.
It can usually be resolved by improving oral hygiene.
This can be done by being more thorough when doing tooth brushing and by brushing more often (Brushing gently though!).
Flossing between the teeth is also helpful.
A simple scaling of the teeth carried out by a dentist or hygienist will also help.
Periodontitis is a more serious problem.

Tooth Whitening Tooth Whitening Treatments have been a great addition to the way that we can improve the appearance of people's teeth.

Any cavities would have to be treated and any teeth that might not respond to the whitening treatment identified.
Treatment involves taking an impression of the teeth and then constructing custom made whitening trays.
