More correctly known as tooth coloured fillings as teeth are not always white!
This can be an easy, less costly, less invasive way to restore broken or chipped teeth.
Replacing metal fillings with tooth coloured ones is also one of the simplest ways of improving your appearance.
Wherever possible we try to place tooth coloured fillings and a suitable material will be chosen in each case.
Crowns are a porcelain or metal cover for unsightly damaged teeth.
Porcelain crowns are made to look as natural as possible to blend in with the rest of your teeth.

This is a very popular and in most cases simple procedure to improve the appearance of natural teeth.
Tooth whitening should only be undertaken after an oral assessment by a dentist to check the underlying condition of the teeth to be whitened.
A colour/shade match before the treatment allows a simple assessment to be made of what the likely result will be.
We usually take photographs before and after to show the improvement which can be significant in most cases.
If done properly, tooth whitening is a very effective, safe non invasive way to improve the appearance of your teeth.

An initial consultation will last around 30 minutes which gives time to go over previous dental experiences and check any medical factors that may influence any future care.
Then a thorough examination to assess all aspects of the oral environment.
It is usually necessary to take radiographs(X rays) to aid in this assessment.
These will be repeated over future years to see if there is any change.
