We would like to welcome both new and existing patients of all ages to the private dental practice of Mark Barrett. This is located in Central London in a newly refurbished Grade 2 period property in Harley Street. Mark provides general dentistry and specialist restorative services including crowns, dentures, implants and cosmetic treatments. We have three hygienists for cleaning and preventative advice.
In addition we have a network of trusted colleagues to provide oral surgery, periodontal, orthodontic and root canal referrals. Our philosophy is to encourage our patients to maintain their own teeth by teaching the correct preventive techniques. When treatment is necessary we will explain the options available and provide the latest proven techniques.

Services
My family have been dentists for three generations.
I trained at University College London graduating in 1985 and then worked in two NHS dental practices in Dunstable and Berkhamsted.
I decided to undergo specialist training and was accepted onto the three year Master's degree program in Prosthodontics at the University of Texas at San Antonio, which I completed in 1991.
On my return I was asked to join the Maxillofacial team at UCH to provide dental rehabilitation for the patients undergoing cancer treatment.

We encourage parents to bring their children for a dental check from about the age of three.
It is very important that these initial visits are as relaxed as possible as a poor experience can have a lasting effect.
The simple application of a fluoride paste to the baby teeth can prevent early loss of these teeth which can have an effect of the adult teeth.

Custom made mouth trays are made from impressions of the mouth.
The whitening gel is placed in the tray that is worn for up to 2hrs during the day or while sleeping.
