Henderson & Hardy
The building was extensively refurbished in 2007/2008 with the 5 surgeries, the reception area and other public areas being transformed to create a bright, modern practice with state-of-the-art dental equipment for both diagnosis and dental treatment. The practice team are dedicated to providing the very best dental care and service for all the family.

All of our staff regularly undertake training and continuing professional development courses in order to provide a high standard of care for all our patients. Backed by years of experience, we know that a preventative approach to dentistry with regular check-up appointments is best. We are proud to offer Denplan Care to our patients and have long been accredited as a Denplan Excel Practice.

Denplan Care offers a full Private dental care package with an affordable monthly payment, allowing you to budget your treatment throughout the year. If you would like to find out more information regarding this, feel free to speak with us today, and one of our practice team will happily talk you through any questions you have.
Services
Our composite fillings can repair the damaged tooth, and protect it from future decay.
Our dentists can provide composite fillings which are white and more in-keeping with the natural colour of your teeth.
These fillings are also known as white fillings, and are available in a variety of shades to best blend with the teeth.
A fissure sealant is a safe and pain-free way of protecting your teeth from decay.
Used mainly on children, a sealant is a plastic coating applied to your back teeth to stop the decay and protect your tooth.
If one of your teeth has been weakened by extensive dental treatment or an accident, a crown may be something you will want to consider.
A crown will not only make your tooth stronger, but it can also improve the look of your tooth cosmetically.
For maximum comfort during the procedure, your dentist will usually administer anaesthetic prior to the treatment.
If your dentist feels a crown is not appropriate, they will discuss this in your appointment and talk to you about any alternatives available such as a more extensive direct filling or inlay.
If you have had a tooth extracted, then you may want to close the gap for cosmetic reasons.
However, there is also an important clinical reason to fill in the space as having a gap can put pressure on your other teeth, whilst also affecting your bite.
The teeth on either side of the tooth gap may be adjusted to allow space for the bridge to fit and a mould or impression of this area is taken.
Once an impression has been made, it will get sent to our dental laboratory for manufacture of the bridge.
If you need an inlay, you will need anaesthetic before your dentist carries out the procedure.
If you are nervous about it, we will happily talk you through it to reassure you.
Our dentists are specialists with nervous patients.
About a week or two after your first appointment we will need to see you for a second time to check that your new inlay is a good fit and that the shade is a the perfect match.
The inlay is then fixed in place.
Root canal therapy is the process where a dentist removes the pulp (the blood and nerve supply) from an infected or dying tooth and replaces it with dental filling material.
If the pulp of your tooth has become infected due to decay or accidental damage, it may be necessary to carry out root canal treatment.
If you don't have root canal treatment the infection can spread, causing pain and even swelling, and the tooth may have to be extracted.
If there is an infection present, you won't necessarily feel any pain at first.
