Services
Peter qualified from Kings College Hospital in 1983, and then worked full time in hospital dentistry and oral surgery for 2 years after which he entered general practice, although for the next three years he still maintained his keen interest in oral surgery, working part time at The Kent and Sussex Hospital in Bromley and The Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
In 1988 Peter moved to Oxfordshire and became the principal dentist and owner of Saint Helens Practice, where he remains.
Having always maintained a strong interest in post graduate education, he formalised his post graduate training by embarking on a part time Masters degree (M.Sc.) in Advanced General Dental Practice in 2004.

We formulate our treatment recommendations based on discussion with you about the options available and which ones would suit your personal circumstances.
We believe that this approach helps you to become involved in your care and achieves the best outcomes.
In formulating all of our recommendations, we stick to something called the daughter test.
This is that we only make recommendations which we would be happy to carry out on our nearest and dearest.

We pride ourselves in providing a same day emergency service for our registered patients during normal working hours.
Even if you have not been to our practice before, and you are looking for emergency dental care, we will still do our best to help.
Outside of these hours, we offer holiday and emergency treatment and where possible this is provided by ourselves or, if we are not available we can arrange for you to be seen at another local practice.
A call out fee may be charged out of hours, but we will always provide free advice over the telephone.

Everyone's teeth will darken with age and can detract from an otherwise perfect smile.
We can now whiten teeth easily and without causing any harm.
The process involves taking impressions of your teeth, from which we make special gum shields called trays which have a reservoir for the bleaching gel.
The trays are filled with a special gel and then placed over the teeth.
This is worn at night, or can be worn for shorter periods during the day if night wear is uncomfortable or you are unable to tolerate it.
