I grew up in Ayrshire, Southwest Scotland and studied dentistry at Glasgow University, qualifying in 1982. I held junior hospital posts in Manchester, London and Reading, followed by general dental practice positions in Camberley and Reading. I came to Wantage in 1989 to take over from Doug Ryan and became a partner in Portway Dental Practice in 1990.
I have now lived and worked in Wantage for over 28 years. I feel very fortunate to have been able to raise my own family here and to be part of the continuing development of Portway Dental Practice. Out of dentistry, I very much enjoy family life. I try to keep fit through cycling and the gym and I have a keen interest in all sport, especially rugby.
