Dentith & Dentith
Welcome to our practice where we look forward to providing you and your family with high quality service and an emphasis to preventive dental care. In 2013 Mr and Mrs Dentith retired and the practice was taken over by their daughter Grace and son in law Gareth, who continue to manage it to the same high standards and with the same values and ethos which with it was created.

We offer modern comfortable facilities in a calm and friendly environment on the ground and first floors. We also offer conscious sedation treatment for anxious patients. We are a predominately private practice and we recommend the Denplan Care Scheme to all our adult patients. Denplan allows us to offer a complete preventive care programme and is the UK's largest independent dental health plan.

In addition, we are able to provide NHS treatment for children under the age of 18 and 18 if in full-time education. Tell us what you think about our dental practice at any time using CQC's online form, 'Share your Experience'.
Services
Grace and Gareth took over the ownership of the Practice from Grace's parents Mr and Mrs Dentith on their retirement in 2013.
Grace is the Principal Dentist and Gareth the Practice Manager.
Between them they run the practice with the same values and ethos which with it was created.
All of our highly trained staff are carefully selected to continue to provide the superior quality of care and personal service that our patients have come to expect over the years.
Grace qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 2005 and has since worked in general practice in Ashington, a postgraduate training post at Newcastle Dental School and as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Middlesbrough Hospital.
A crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth and held in place by dental adhesive or cement.
Crowns can be made from a variety of materials.
They can be made from plastic, ceramic or metal alloys.
A combination of metal and ceramic is also possible to maximise strength and simulate the appearance of natural teeth.
Firstly, a thorough clinical examination is conducted with radiographs, by the dentist.
The suitability for crowns is assessed and any preparatory work is carried out.
Your dentist will also be able to advise on material choices, treatment sequence and any other concerns you may have.
Denplan Care is a really easy way to spread the cost of all of your routine treatment into affordable monthly payments, reducing the chance of receiving unexpected dental bills.
This is a price guide only and the practice reserves the right to change these prices at the dentist's discretion.
For large or complex treatment plans your dentist will give you a detailed estimate before any work is carried out.
If a patient fails to attend or cancels an appointment without giving at least 24 hours' notice the Practice reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for wasted surgery time.
Our dental receptionists are available by telephone or in person throughout the day to help you with any queries relating to your care and treatment.
Appointments can be made either by telephone or in person.
We encourage you to visit the practice regularly, and will send you a reminder for your next routine appointment by post or e-mail if requested instead.
If you are unable to keep an appointment we would be grateful if you could please give us as much notice as possible.
In case of an emergency during normal surgery hours please contact us by phone and we will arrange an appointment for you as soon as possible.
