We want to provide a service that goes above and beyond the usual experience people may have come to expect.
A service that we as dental professionals would want for our own care. We also want our patients to feel cared for and looked after in an environment they find relaxing. The Village Dentists is a modern, Independent dental practice located in The Old Church, Cramlington Village, next door to The Blagdon Arms pub and across the road from Wetherspoons 'John The Clerk' pub.

This depends on the number of teeth missing and on where they are in the mouth.
The condition of the other teeth also affects the decision.
There are two main ways to replace the missing teeth.
The first is with a removable false tooth or teeth - a partial denture.
The second is with a fixed bridge.
A bridge is usually used where there are fewer teeth to replace, or when the missing teeth are only on one side of the mouth.

It may be all plastic or a mixture of metal and plastic.

Periodontal (gum) disease is still by far and away the biggest single cause of tooth loss in adult patients.
In the past the progress of this disease was considered inevitable and the only treatment available was extraction of the affected teeth and the provision of dentures.
Happily today this is no longer the case and with early detection coupled with regular treatment we are seeing an increasingly large percentage of patients preserving a full natural dentition into their seventies and beyond.
