Services
Independent dental care allows dental professionals to offer a greater choice, with the dentistry being more focused on prevention, than may otherwise be possible.
In essence this is how we would prefer to be treated.
We offer a quality service, with continuity of care and innovation in areas where we think it will make a difference.
We provide independent dental care both under a FPI or 'fee per item' basis and with Denplan Excel Care a capitation scheme.
We also offer payment plans so you can spread the cost of treatment.

Due to the current pandemic we are attempting to reduce face to face contact where we can, therefore information leaflets and forms that we would normally hand out regarding Denplan are now in this section on the website.
Below are all the different plans we offer our Denplan patients and any other information we feel is good to know when choosing Denplan.
If you require any further information then we suggest you have a look at the Denplan website.

Or give us a call on 01229 772319 if you have any questions.

Although we are predominantly Private and Denplan we also provide NHS care.
We provide NHS care for patients under 18 years old, as well as adults who are either exempt from charges, for example: pregnant mothers, patients in receipt of means tested benefits or patients who have a valid remission certificate.
These restrictions are written into our contract with the NHS.
Our practice is one of very few general practices in Cumbria who are contracted to provide both inhalational and intravenous sedation for anxious patients as part of our NHS services.

All our clinical team adhere to the General Dental Council's (GDC) guidance, 'Standards for Dental Professionals', which sets out what you can expect from the Dental Profession in the UK.
The GDC is the statutory body which regulates dentistry in the UK and its guidance covers personal registration of dental professionals and ensures compliance with continuing professional development and training.
We are also subject to external regulation from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which registers services, the NHS (which inspects all practices which are contracted to provide NHS services), plus a wide range of other regulators (there are atleast 15 separate entities with the right to enter and inspect various aspects of a dental practice, enforcing compliance with over 35 acts of parliament - roughly the same as a hospital).
