We will be prioritising patients for urgent care, but will still be providing routine care. The health and welfare of our patients and staff here at Village Dental Practice is of upmost importance to us, and therefore we continue to operate with strict restrictions and full PPE in place. If you do need to get in touch with us, please phone or email us, rather than attending in person.

We are a family dental practice located in the heart of Knebworth and we have been providing general dental care to the local community for almost 30 years. Our aim is to provide the highest standards of dentistry to all of our patients. We use the latest techniques and materials, and all staff undertake regular Continuous Professional Education to keep up-to-date with recent developments.

We understand that many patients can feel anxious about visiting the dentist and so we endeavour to provide care in a relaxed, comfortable and friendly environment. Our practice offers both NHS and Private dental care, and many patients opt for a combination of both.

Nancy was born in Knebworth and has lived here in the village ever since.
She became a dental nurse straight after leaving school, working first in Stevenage and then in Knebworth.
Village Dental Practice was established in 1993 by Dr Elizabeth Stringer, and has been providing dental care for families in Knebworth and the surrounding areas ever since.
In 2015 the practice was taken over by Dr Sachin Shah.
He hopes to grow the practice by extending the opening hours of the surgery to five days per week, as well as offering a wider range of treatments in the future.
The practice is located in the centre of the village on Station Road, just a few minutes walk from Knebworth Railway Station.
All treatment that is clinically necessary to protect and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS.
This means the NHS provides any treatment that you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy and free of pain.
Some treatments, mainly cosmetic, are not available under the NHS, and you may wish to have these carried out privately.
If you normally pay for NHS dental treatment, the fees will depend on what clinical treatment you need.
This covers an examination, diagnosis e.g.
X-rays, advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventive care such as application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealants if appropriate.
