Services
Choosing a dentist, and a dental clinic in which you feel confident and comfortable visiting, is a very important decision.
You naturally want a dental practice you can trust to look after your dental health and well being, and maybe that of your family.
Based in Bishops Stortfort, CK Dental Health Clinic is a patient focused clinic you can trust.
Dr Kossar Kal is a dedicated family dentist with a special interest in Implant Dentistry.
He grew up in London and graduated with a degree in dentistry, qualifying with Honours from Queen Mary, St Bartholomew's & The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
This includes a general assessment of the head and neck and clinical assessment of the soft tissues and teeth in your mouth.
Once the exam has been completed any required treatment options will be discussed and a Treatment Plan will be agreed before it is carried out.
If the patient is experiencing symptoms of pain and ill health, the assessment will first and foremost diagnose and treat immediate problems (Immediate Phase).
In addition provision will be made to carry out a comprehensive clinical assessment of soft tissues and teeth in your mouth and any further treatment will be added to the patients Treatment Plan (Restorative Phase).
You cannot remove tartar or stains just by brushing your teeth, but a dentist or hygienist can remove it by using special instruments this is known as scaling and polishing.
A scale and polish is a very common dental treatment which is carried out as a form of oral preventative medicine.
In other words, it is designed to form part of a dental hygiene plan with the aim of keeping your teeth clean and healthy.
This procedure is also known as 'dental cleaning' and along with tooth brushing, flossing, mouthwashes and healthy eating can help to reduce the risk of gum disease and tooth decay.
At CK Dental Health Clinic we will discuss with you the type of filling (material, size etc.) you may require and explain the advantages and disadvantages of the options available giving you the opportunity to make an informed choice.
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape.
When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.
A Crown is a cast porcelain, alloy metal or a combination of both materials that is placed over a tooth and held in place with a dental adhesive or cement.
It provides support for teeth that have broken or have large fillings that continue to break and prevents it.
Crowns can look and feel exactly like a natural tooth.
The colour and shape can be matched to your own teeth.
A Crown can last for many years if you look after your mouth and teeth.
Regular check ups with your dentist at Ck Dental Health Clinic will detect any problems with your crown and your dentist will recommend necessary treatment.
