Services
Here at Derwent Street Dental Practice, we offer both NHS and private services.
While a substantial part of what we do is to focus on prevention, improvements are also done to make our patients feel more confident and good about the appearance of your smile.
All the treatment necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS.
However if you'd like to go further with cosmetic dentistry or facial aesthetic treatments, this is when all of our private treatments can be extremely beneficial- we offer a wide variety of private treatments that you simply couldn't receive if we were solely NHS.
Our practice has a dental hygienist who is especially trained to give additional necessary care to our patients.
Going to the hygienist's involves regular professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar, combined with looking after your teeth and gums properly at home, will help keep your mouth healthy.
A clean and healthy mouth will improve your appearance, help you to keep your teeth and give you fresh breath.
This is what the training of the hygienist is all about.
They will carefully remove the hard deposits of tartar (or 'calculus') that build up on the teeth and teach you how to prevent them coming back.
We will endeavour to see urgent cases, such as severe toothache, facial swelling, trauma and uncontrolled bleeding within 24 hours for our current patients.
For out of hours emergency care please call "111" for advice.
This service is available 365 days a year from 6:30p.m. and you may be seen at another surgery.
