Preventive dentistry is the modern approach to reducing the amount of dental treatment required to maintain a healthy mouth and help keep your teeth for life.
Tooth loss primarily results from gum disease and decay.
A proactive approach to the management of these causes therefore increases the opportunity for prevention.
Whilst it is the ideal way to manage the oral healthcare of children and young adults, it is the recommended approach for everyone - including people with false teeth who can benefit through the early identification of conditions like mouth cancer and denture stomatitis.

The use of dental implants is a well-established treatment that can transform your mouth and give you back your confidence.
Implants can last a lifetime.
They are secure and robust, enabling you to speak and eat with greater confidence than traditional dentures.
They are easier to maintain too - clean them by brushing, just as you would your natural teeth.
There are major advantages which many people feel make the extra cost worthwhile.
Although in many circumstances the cost of the treatment is a little more than the cost of more conventional treatment with crowns and bridges, an implant to replace a single tooth avoids the need to cut down the teeth either side for crowns to support a bridge.
