George Slabbert qualified at the University of Witwatersrand in 1984. Following qualification and has worked in general practice until he joined College Street Dental in 1988 as a partner. He completed his postgraduate DPDs at Bristol University in 1997. While he was South West coordinator for the Anaphylaxis Campaign, with his interest in allergies, he obtained his Part 1 in the Mechanisms and Management of Allergic Disease at Southampton University in 2001.
Outside interests are long distance road cycling, dinghy sailing and trying to complete walking the South West coastal path. He is also involved with helping his wife look after a number of pet sheep and lambs.
