In January of 2008 Dent Blanche bought the Graham Hancox Implant Centre; a practice which has provided over 30 years of quality dental care in Radcliffe-on-Trent. We combine a private dental family practice with a cosmetic and implant referral service for the Nottingham and East Midlands region. At Dent Blanche we place emphasis on preventative dentistry and maintain an holistic approach to our patients.

We welcome new patients to the practice however nervous of treatment they may be, and strive to keep a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Please contact our helpful and friendly staff to make an appointment, or just to discuss treatment.
Services
A dental implant is a small bolt made of titanium which is inserted into the jaw bone during a short operation, usually under local anaesthetic.
Implants are often used to replace a single tooth when it has been lost following trauma, or when an existing restoration has failed.
They may also be used to provide the supports for a bridge, in order to restore a large gap with multiple missing teeth.
Implants are often the treatment of choice for the elimination of unsightly spaces in the dentition as the placement and subsequent restoration does not affect any of the existing teeth.
Where appearance is vital, we try to use zirconia or porcelain only crowns, which provide a very lifelike appearance.
Further back in the mouth porcelain bonded to metal crowns are sometimes used.
These have greater strength which is required in this region, but still look like a natural tooth.
It is often necessary to provide a crown for a root treated tooth to prevent a fracture from occurring.
In this case a post is usually placed within the root canal to help provide support.
Preparation is a relatively simple procedure, carried out under local analgesia.
Cosmetic dentistry encompasses procedures that are designed to improve the appearance of the teeth and associated tissues.
This can be as simple as whitening the teeth using bleach gels, or more complicated procedures using veneers or crowns to provide an improved aesthetic appearance.
Simple bleaching can be used where there is little or no damage to the teeth, and will lighten the shade.
When changes of shape and angulation of the teeth is required, then veneers can provide the answer.
These are porcelain facings that can be bonded to the teeth, with little or sometimes no preparation.
It is worn whilst sleeping and works by repositioning the lower jaw, increasing the width of the airway.
These devices are worn not only to reduce disruptive snoring, but also to treat mild and moderate sleep apnoea.
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is defined as the cessation of airflow during sleep preventing air from entering the lungs caused by an obstruction.
These periods of 'stopping breathing' only become clinically significant if the cessation lasts for more than 10 seconds each time and occur more than 10 times every hour.
