Services
We all known that prevention is always better than cure.
This is a very important important aspect of dentistry and we aim to help you avoid the need for dental treatment by increasing awareness of dental disease and showing our how patients to avoid it.
Regular, thorough examinations are very important in order to pick up the first signs of any tooth decay (dental caries) or gum disease (periodontal disease) before they become serious.
Early diagnosis of oral cancer, which is becoming increasingly common, may also be detected by regular dental check-ups, thus the chances of successful treatment are greatly increased.
The prices shown are presented as a guide and may change according to a patient's individual needs.
The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy.
You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you visit your dentist more than once to finish it-either Band 1, Band 2 or Band 3 ( please see below).
In our practice, we treat patients politely and with respect, recognising their dignity and rights as individuals.
Our aim is to provide high quality care and treatment in a relaxed, comfortable and safe environment.
We are committed to continuing education and keeping abreast of advances in modern dentistry.
To ensure we maintain the high standards our patients have come to expect it is becoming increasingly important for us to accurately match the number and the needs of our patients to the resources we have available.
Research shows that preventative dentistry delivered on a regular basis greatly reduces the risk of dental disease and provides a platform for a lifetime of improved oral health.
Periodontal disease affects up to 75% of the population.
It can effect the gums and supporting bone and can lead to gum recession, tooth mobility and tooth loss.
Clean teeth and healthy teeth and gums will keep your breath fresh and improve your appearance.
Professional cleaning and an effective home care routine will keep your mouth and gums healthy.
Here at Abbotsbury Court Dental Practice we have registered practice hygienists, who have been trained to the highest standards to provide you with the best possible treatment and care.
Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking can all hasten yellowing and discolouration of the teeth.
Tooth colour, like hair colour is also genetically determined.
Some medications can also affect the colour of your teeth.
As well at these factors, your teeth will tend to yellow naturally over time.
Tooth Whitening, which you carry out yourself at home, will gently remove the stains, leaving your teeth brighter and cleaner.
A fresher, whiter smile can make you look years younger as well as increasing your confidence.
