Durban Dental Centre is committed to providing high quality and affordable dental care in a relaxed and caring environment. The dental team are friendly and efficient and we endeavour to achieve a high standard of work for you and your family. From a routine examination, hygienist visit, a filling to cosmetic procedures, we take pride in our work and aim to have happy and satisfied patients with beautiful and healthy smiles.

Choice and information are of high importance to us to help you achieve optimum dental health. The practice has ensured measures to be environmentally friendly. All surgeries have digital x-ray equipment which benefits patients considerably by reducing exposure to radiation, this benefits the environment because chemicals (which are poisonous) normally used to develop the x-rays are no longer needed.

The practice was one of the first in the country, to fit amalgam traps well before the EU requirement. Amalgam slurry containing mercury used to be dumped into drains every week, now it is collected in traps and disposed of safely.
Services
All of our Dentists and Hygienists are fully qualified and practice under strict guidelines.
Each Dentist and Hygienist continues their professional development by attending regular courses or seminars, keeping up to date with new materials, working methods and equipment.
Each Dentist has their own nurse, they are there to assist the dentist with your treatment and to help put you at ease about any possible apprehension you may have whilst in surgery.
At Durban Dental Centre, we believe that first impressions count.
Our aim is to make you feel as relaxed and as comfortable as possible while visiting the dental centre, your care is our priority.
We will ask you to fill out a medical history questionnaire if you haven't already done so.
It is important to tell us about any medications you take and any surgery you have had however minor.
The medical history is a General Dental Council requirement and is vitally important, especially any allergies you may have such as latex and antibiotics or whether you are diabetic, epileptic, have a heart condition e.t.c.
Are you thinking of changing your dentist?
Try looking around at patient testimonials for the surgeries that you are considering, it's always more reliable coming from the horses mouth, so to speak.
Here are just a few we have received from happy patients.
If you are already a patient at Durban Dental we will be most happy to receive your testimonial.
Just a line to say how very satisfied I am with Durban Dental Centre.
I have recently moved to the area and needed to find a regular dentist plus an old crown had fallen out and needed replacement.
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations, otherwise a fee may be charged at 10 per 15 minutes.
The fee for non attended appointments is decided by the amount of wasted surgery time and how many times you have failed and is at the discretion of the dentist.
Regular missed appointments may result in de-registration from the practice.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is a government body that ensures healthcare service providers are meeting the necessary standards of compliance and safety that all patients should expect to receive.
They also seek to validate that service providers are meeting essential training requirements for their teams.
In accordance with current legislation we are registered with the Care Quality Commission and work tirelessly to achieve full compliance to ensure your care, safety and protection.
