Feniton Dental Practice
We are a small, friendly, rural practice situated in the village of Feniton in East Devon. As we are a small practice, we are able to get to know our patients personally. Our aim is excellent dental health for you and your family through minimum intervention dentistry. So we place emphasis on giving you regular dental advice and helping all patients understand how to care for their teeth and gums and reduce the need for dental treatment.

We take pride in providing modern techniques of high-quality dentistry within a relaxed family dental practice. We aim to achieve lasting high-quality results giving you a smile to be proud of as well as making your visits a pleasant as possible. We have an NHS contract to treat children and those who are exempt from NHS charges. Most of our patients are private, opting either to join Denplan Care or simply pay as you go.

Please feel free to get in touch as we welcome comments and questions on any aspect of our practice and will be pleased to discuss your individual needs at any time.
Services
Emma has lived locally since 1980, attending King's School in Ottery St Mary.
She qualified from The University of Bristol in 1989 and went on to work as an associate in Paignton and Exeter before taking over the responsibilities of running her own practice in 1996.
She is experienced in all aspects of dentistry but is particularly keen on preventive dentistry.
She is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Advanced Minimum Intervention Dentistry with King's College London.
She has a grown-up daughter and three teenage sons.
After your teeth have been examined and a treatment plan has been agreed, you'll be given a written estimate of the cost of the work to be done.
Our practice policy is to ask you to pay for the treatment as you receive it with full payment to be made on completion of treatment.
If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please let us know.
Patients who receive Income support (Incapacity benefit and Disability living allowance do NOT count).
A. Our private initial consultation will consist of two appointments 1 with the dentist for a examination and one with our hygiene therapist, in total this lasts approximately 50 mins.
Initial scaling and polishing including preventative dietary and oral hygiene advice as required from one of our lovely hygiene therapists.
A. For initial consultation we request a 50% deposit to secure the appointment, payments may be made by credit cards, debit cards, cash or cheques.
Monthly payment plans are available.
If you are coming towards us from Exeter direction please use the A30 and exit at the sign for Feniton.
As you reach a T junction turn left and stay on the Ottery Road until you come to a curve in the road, you then need to go straight over into Green Lane.
Go along Green Lane over the railway bridge and take the next turning on your left into Wells Avenue.
Travel around the next corner and we are the fourth bungalow along with blue vertical blinds in the window and a sign on the wall.
If you get to Bath Close you have gone too far, please turn around here and park on the opposite side of the road.
We provide tooth whitening using custom-made trays and a whitening gel equivalent to 3.6% hydrogen peroxide (10% carbonide peroxide) which are worn between 1-8 hours.
The practice suggests using the lowest concentration of gel to begin with to minimise the sensitivity which is the main side effect of whitening.
The current fee for whitening is from 214.00 (one arch) and from 286.00 (two arches).
This consists of the first appointment which includes an initial assessment and taking of impressions, the second visit at which whitening is commenced (when full instructions for home use will be given) and one follow up review appointment.
