Services
I moved to the UK from South Africa in 1991 and quickly settled as an associate in London.
For the past 16 years I have had private practices in North London and the West End.
In 2006 I moved to Cambridgeshire with my family to enjoy a more outdoors lifestyle.
I enjoy general dentistry with an emphasis on good oral health.
I have 17 years experience in dental implants and regularly take courses in London and abroad.
Out of work I love spending time with my family, especially on holiday, and have always been a passionate cyclist.
Oral hygiene is essential in maintaining good health.
Our friendly and experienced team is on hand to offer advice on how to care for your teeth and gums the correct way by adopting crucial dental hygiene techniques.
As well as reducing the risk of dental health problems, a session of hygiene treatment will also leave your teeth looking radiant and your mouth feeling clean and refreshed.
Without good oral hygiene dental problems such as gum disease, periodontitis and tooth decay can develop.
This can ultimately lead to the deterioration of teeth and gums, in some cases resulting in eventual tooth loss.
We prefer to use high quality composite material (white fillings) for the majority of our restorations on both front and back teeth.
Using modern layering techniques can reproduce fantastic aesthetics.
They are more complex to place and therefore more costly but have many advantages which your dentist can discuss with you.
Most people have fillings of one sort or another but today, because we are much more conscious of our smile, we can choose a natural looking alternative - the composite or tooth-coloured filling.
These restorations require working together with a dental technician to provide a restoration which is more durable or aesthetic than a filling, or in cases where teeth are missing and it is necessary to fill the gap for aesthetic or functional reasons.
We have over 20 years' experience treating complex restorative and cosmetic cases.
Although a bridge may seem costly they can be a wise investment that will give many years of good service.
It will also improve your appearance and bite.
A bridge uses the considerable skill of the dentist and technician, and in this way, it's similar to ordering a piece of hand-made jewellery.
You need to clean your bridge every day, to prevent problems such as bad breath and gum disease.
You also have to clean under the false tooth every day.
Your dentist or hygienist will show you how to use a bridge needle or special floss, as a normal toothbrush cannot reach.
